Fadi Rifaai is a multitalented creative leader, who is equally involved in the professional and expressive aspects of the Events and Performing Arts industry. His 12 years of diverse international studies and experience, in Music, Theater, Film, and Television, include involvement with Netflix, Shahid, Universal Music, MBC, Asacha, Mindvalley, and many high-end creative platforms.
As an established artist, Fadi has directly worked alongside A-list Middle Eastern artists such as Assala Nasri, Kosai Khauli, Khaled Abu Al Naga, and Ali Sulaiman. He currently also curates/ shares unique artistic performances in collaboration with high caliber entities such as The Arts Club, Arabian Days Festival, Theater of Digital Arts (ToDA), and Tanweer Festival. He has two original released albums on all platforms.

Writables | 2019 - 2022
As a founding partner of this screen-writing specialized platform, Fadi led the strategic planning, artistic vision, branding, and communication for Writables. He coined the term Script on Demand (SOD), and led the process, visual image, and script curation. His work resulted in collaborations with the biggest production companies in the Middle East such as Al Sabbah, Eagle Films and Al Sadaf.

Leading a creative team of 20+ experienced individuals, Fadi laid the creative ground-work, standards of procedure, and work structure/hierarchy, formulating original encompassing systems that materialize the creative process, and breaks it down into a consistent, methodical roadmap. Fadi also created a quantifiable state-of-the-art script evaluation system that was recommended to production companies by MBC and Shahid.

Development Producer
Development Producer on various TV series, such like Al Wasm and The Fourth Wall (featured on Shahid). Fadi’s work comprised of leading the writer’s room in coordination / alignment with the vision of the broadcasting platform, executive producer and director. He has worked alongside the likes of Mohammed Mashish (Executive Producer), Kareem Al Adl (Director), and Noor Arnaout (Director).
Consultant Producer
Handling an international adaptation project, led by London based Asacha Media Group in coordination with MBC in the Middle East. The drama series was adapted from German to be set in Beirut. Fadi worked closely with an appointed American writer’s room to restructure the character arcs, storylines, and overall vision considering cultural sensitivities and inclinations, as well as audience preferences and viewing behavior. He then led the creative translation process, curating and leading an Arabic writer’s room.

Sharing this role with the founder Raghd Coussa, Fadi has co-curated performative and visual elements and their artistic and thematic significance in the context of several live performances and recorded musical sessions. Carefully crafting and positioning elements like artwork, props, lighting, clothing, and color pallets to enhance viewer experience, as well as the reach and impact of related audio-visual content.

He excels in the genres: Arabic Classical, Arabic Pop, Arabic-Western Fusion, Arabic Experimental, and Sufi Alternative.

Lead Performer
Being academically and professionally involved in various genres of musical theater, Fadi played the lead in many internationally revered pieces, in both Arabic and English. Being trained by American director Anthony Tassa, Fadi gained the ability to combine theatrical theory, acting skills, dance routines, and singing abilities to embody the most famous characters. Grease, Cinderella, Blood Brothers, Macbeth, and Summer 840 are some of the productions he was involved in.

Lead Actor
Fadi has played major lead roles from the beginning of his career, in both Film and TV. His first was the lead in a feature film directed by a British-Emirati director and recognized by numerous international film festivals. The film was picked up by an international distibutor and screened in the UK and Italy, as well as the Arab region. He then went on to land lead roles in TV series featured on Netflix and major broadcasting channels, as well as participating in the feature film On Borrowed Time, alongside Salloum Haddad and Samer Ismail.

Fadi has local and international experience in multiple scriptwriting services and content creation, working with the likes of Shahid, MBC, Asacha Media Group, Netflix, OSN and Red Sea Film Festival. Storyline conceptualization and development, scriptwriting, treatment, doctoring, proofreading, evaluation, adaptation, and creative translation are some of Fadi’s domain of expertise. He has worked on shows for A-list actors such like Kosai Khauli and Yagoub Al Farhan.

Theater Appreciation
5-month credited theoretical/ practical American University of Sharjah course, taught by an American professor. The course covered the history and development of theater from the Midieval era up until the Modern era. It also dissected the different genres and their defining traits, as well as the building blocks of theatrical storylines such as character arcs, character journeys, plot, act structures, and resolution. The course culminated in writing an original short play, casting, directing, and performing it to an audience.

Devised Theater
5-month voluntary practical University of Melbourne course, taught by Australian director Xanthe Beesely. The course entailed devising and performing a movement piece inspired by the real-life stories and conversations of the participating students. The course covered the process of creating a performance from start to finish and culminated in 4 sell-out performances of the theatrical piece.

Theatrical Performance
15-month voluntary American University of Sharjah course, taught by American professor Anthony Tassa, the course taught over 3 separate semesters, covered all the intricacies of performing arts including script reading, character analysis, character development, stage acting, stage singing, movement, stage dance routines, stage fighting, as well as working with directors and technical stage personnel. The course culminated in 4 full production musical theater performances in which Fadi was cast in main roles: Blood Brothers, Macbeth, Summer 840, and 8 at 7 (a collage of popular shorts).

Music Theory: a 5-month credited university course, taught by American professor John Perkins, covering the foundations of melody, rhythm, form, pitch, music notation, musical composition, and harmonyThe course culminates in an original composition devising all the theoretical knowledge, written for Piano.
Choral Singing
American University of Sharjah
A 5-month credited practical university course taught by American professor John Perkins, where a choir was formed, and a full choral program was curated and performed at the university as well as abroad. Vocal dynamics, harmony, power, breathing, and note-reading techniques taught and tested. The final performnance program included International Italian, American, Latin, and Arabic pieces, that were also performed at the Internation Choral Symposium in Bandung.
Dance
American University of Sharjah
Dance Foundation: a 5-month credited theoretical/ practical university course, taught by American dance specialist Mina Liccione, covering the history and defining theory behind the dance genres: Hip Hop, Contemporary, Afrobeat, Dabke, and Handjive. The course also entailed learning and performing choreographed routines of all the mentioned genres, as well as designing/ teaching original choreography in one chosen genre.
